Mike is a retired chartered accountant having been a partner with Grant Thornton in Oxford. He has lived in Oxfordshire for more than 40 years, is married and has three adult children and five grandchildren.
Mike has been involved with West Oxfordshire Community Transport since the very early days when he helped raise funds to purchase WOCT’s first bus. Since then he has helped with the production of financial information and a couple of ad-hoc tasks. He has recently taken on the role of Society Secretary.
In the past fifteen years or so Mike has had quite a few roles within the Third Sector. He has previously been Chair of Oxfordshire Association for the Blind and Soha Housing and a non-executive board member at Advance Housing and Support.
Currently his major activities are: Trustee, Treasurer and Company Secretary at Citizens Advice West Oxfordshire; Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Witney; and Trustee, Volunteer Link- Up.
In his spare time Mike closely follows the fortunes of Oxford United FC and enjoys his garden and his family
